Here is a picture of my new wig. I settled on Allure. It was just way more comfortable. I plan on taking it to a hairdresser that specializes in cutting wigs to see if she can trim it a little. I think the style could use a little modernizing. But it fits a lot better than my old one. I also got the baseball cap wig, it is really pretty. Will try to post a pic of that one tomorrow. Busy day, heading to bed.

Wow! Looks so real! Probably more comfortable with it not touching your neck, I’m guessing?
Yes, but it is also a size large to accommodate my big head which of course is to fit my large brain. So much more comfortable. This feels like wearing a hat, while the old one was like a too tight headband. Of course when I bought the old one I had no idea what it was supposed to be like.
Lookin.. good!
Thanks Dad! See you soon. Boys are excited.
Looks nice! It’s been many years since I wore a wig (now stage IV, but on hormonal therapy). I used gel and wax to make the wig look more real.
I came across your blog a few days ago and started to folow.
Nice to meet you Diana. Just curious, how old are you? I am involved in an international online message board for young women with stage IV breast cancer. I’d say most people are 50 or younger, majority in late 30s. If you are interested and fit the ave group let me know and I will connect you. Its a great resource to have.
Thanks, yes, I am interested. I turned 40 last March. I have been stage IV since almost 4 years, 8 years after my initial (IIb) diagnosis and pregnant while diagnosed with mets.
I am interested in joining the message board, though I am not American (I’m from the Netherlands). I’d like to exchange experiences with others in a similar situation.
I’ll find out what I need to do to get you invited. It’s a private board, so the messages are password protected.
You look great!
Thanks!
Looks great – if you didn’t say it was a wig I would not have known! Can’t wait to see the baseball cap one!
Thank you!
I like it!
🙂
I love it, you look great!
Thanks!
You look beautiful!
