On Beyond Cancer

My life with metastatic breast cancer

2nd day July 3, 2013

Filed under: Uncategorized — onbeyondcancer @ 4:23 pm

Last night the side effects of Halaven kicked in.  I had body aches everywhere like when you have the flu or get in a bar fight (at least that’s what I think a bar fight would feel like).  I was in bed before 10pm, and using a heating pad despite the heat.  I took my temperature before bed and again in the morning and didn’t have a fever.  I slept 10 hours and woke up to the sound of the boys playing together nicely and singing.  I called the doctor this morning and she recommended I take a Naproxen (basically high dose Advil) and get some rest.  I am feeling better now and just taking it easy.

I think in your subconscious, you were just waiting for the boys to play nicely before you woke up. =)

You hang in there, Karissa, and know that we are thinking of you and sending hugs. I hope you all can spend at least one relaxing day poolside at mom and dad’s very soon. We need to try to get up there with you all soon, too:) Happy Fourth of July!, With much love, Jennifer & Family

  4. the ibprophon is working. (I personally think ibprophin is a miracle drug, it helps all my aches and pains).

Hope that you feel better/get used to the side effects soon. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!
