On Beyond Cancer

My life with metastatic breast cancer

Side effects April 28, 2013

My doctor gave me a new prescription to help me sleep.  We’ve had a busy weekend, so Mike just picked it up this afternoon for me.  I’m reading through the side effects like always when I came across this warning “Some patients taking this medicine have performed certain activities when they were not fully awake.  These have included sleep-driving, making and eating food, and making phone calls.”

So when you call that you are on your way over to share a snack we should be wary! LOL

Phone calls? That is a weird side effect!

    • I think that they are basically saying you might do anything and have no memory of it. If you called someone else they would remember that it happened. If you just got up and walked around your house, it’s possible no one would notice.

Maybe you’ll make dinner without realizing it, and be ahead of the game. 🙂

I’ve read about a lot of side effects on prescription inserts, but not those. I agree with Sara. Maybe you’ll get your supper cooked every night while you sleep!

Yikes! So, if you call me at 3am and tell me you’re bringing over some food you just made – I’ll know what’s going on 😉

I’m convinced some of my best ideas come to me while I’m sleeping. I’m seeing patents and copyrights in your future 🙂

  7. I’m looking forward to seeing your sleep posts 😉
